- Implement strong password hygiene - do not use any data that can be found via social media (wife's name, birthday, etc. The password should be at least ten characters long, with a combination of alphanumeric and special characters
- Do not install any updates, including apps, OS, and firmware
- Enable remote wipe capabilities if the device is lost
- Monitor device activity for unauthorized access and review location history periodically
- Turn off unused features like Bluetooth and AirDrop to reduce potential attack surfaces
